Ulgham is an English civil parish within the unitary authority of Northumberland
Ulgham (pronounced “uffham”) or “village of the owls” is situated approximately six miles (9 km) to the north-east of Morpeth in the County of Northumberland. A rural village of some one hundred and fifty households, it provides a pleasant country environment whilst being within thirty minutes of the city of Newcastle upon Tyne. Close by are the beautiful unspoiled and uncrowded beaches of the Northumberland coast and historic towns of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, and Warkworth with its magnificent castle. The coast and local countryside boast numerous locations of interest: – Druridge Bay, Belsay Hall and Castle, Seaton Delaval Hall, Cragside, Wallington, Chillingham Castle, Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, the Farne Islands and Holy Island are all within easy reach.
